Today I would like to introduce you to the beautiful Miss. Sarah! Sarah is 1 in 189. One out of every 189 girls is on the autism spectrum. Autism is a wide range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences. Autism is a neurological and developmental disorder that begins early in childhood and lasts throughout a person’s life. Autism’s most-obvious signs tend to appear between 2 and 3 years of age. She received her Autism diagnosis at the age of 2. Sarah is Beautifully Different!
Sarah has limited verbal communication and can have a difficult time socializing with her peers. She tries really hard to express herself and is working very hard at home and at school on her social and overall skills. Sarah is the youngest of 4 girls in her family, so she has an amazing support system! Her parents and her sisters help Sarah to reach her maximum potential! She is such an amazing little girl!
Sweet. Beautiful. Unique.
Sarah is so much more than her diagnosis! She is smart and fun and funny. Sarah loves her mommy and daddy and her sisters! She loves being around her friends. Sarah absolutely loves swimming! She is the best swimmer in her family and has been swimming since she was 2 years old. Sarah also loves to bake especially at home with her sisters. She is an incredibly hard worker, she applies herself to whatever task is in from of her and she never gives up! Sarah is so inspiring! Her smile will surely light up any room she’s in.
