Beautifully Different

A Project Celebrating Differences and Triumphs

A child who is a little different is not tragic, all children are unique and beautiful in their own wonderful ways. And I want to celebrate those differences! Parenting is hard. You can take all the classes, read the books, learn all the things… and when you bring that new little babe home, all that knowledge flies right out the window. (along with a decent nights sleep!) No one can prepare you to be a parent, whats more, no one can prepare you to be the parent of a child who is a little different from most. I would like to gather Beautifully Different children and give them a complimentary mini photo shoot. As a thank you for participating and allowing me to post on both social media and my website you will receive 3 High Resolution Digital Images.

Meet Hadley

I had a normal pregnancy with Hadley. No problems, no issues at all. She arrived right on time, and was the perfect height, weight, and the perfect amount of sweetness and cuteness. Several years went by, and Hadley seemed to learn things a little slower than her peers. She consistently hit her Milestones late, some very late. So we started to dig in. A little while (and A LOT of testing) later, we had a diagnosis. Partial Agenesis of The Corpus Callosum. (pACC) pACC is a neurological birth defect that affects the way your brain works. Hadley’s brain is missing the connection between the left and right halves of her brain, over the Cerebellum. This resulted in a global developmental delay, which means a lifetime of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. We, as you can imagine, were devastated.

It’s been nearly a year since Hadley’s diagnosis and she amazes me everyday. Watching her navigate through her challenges with grace and determination is nothing short of amazing. Things that are easy for most kids her age, she really struggles with. She is incredible, she is amazing, and I am so proud to be her Mom.

Let’s celebrate YOUR Beautifully Different child!

If you have someone who is special to you, who would like to participate in the Beautifully Different project please fill out the following form.

*Please note that this project is for children UNDER the age of 18. Thank you.
